Paul McCracken is a novelist and screenwriter from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
He began his writing career at 19. After completing a five day film course for the unemployed, he got a taste for script writing and the studio owner encouraged him to write his own material.
Since then, Paul began to learn the craft of screenwriting and story telling. He got to the quarter-finals of an international screenplay competition two years in a row. He started to network and engage with professionals in the film industry, domestic and international.
Wishing for his work to be seen, he took on one of his greatest challenges to date by moving to novel writing. He gained his first professional editing credit with a published novel in 2016. A few months later, he secured a literary agent and a publishing contract with his debut novel “The Last Rains Of Winter” which is still pending release.
His latest book, Layla’s Song is a kidnap, crime thriller set in Belfast.
